How to select a vet

The health of your dog's is important to you just as the health of your children is to you. Your veterinarian is important to your dog's health, because they know how to handle critical situation and how to care for them. Your veterinarian monitor your dog's health and keep record of them to know when they are immunize and when they will be immunize just as they do in how daily clinic. It is important that you take your dog to a veterinarian at least their rabies shot. It is demanded by law.Getting a vet for your pets is not that hard, you should take your time to ask everyone you think of, your friends, dog trainers, dog groomers, and even people you have met or friends that have dogs they will recommend the ones they are using. Do your due diligence and make sure that you choose the one that suites you. Before choosing a vet for your dog below are some of the things you should consider.
1. Pick few vets that are closer to you and do your research on them. It is easier to go there when emergency arises.
2. Is there facility clean, take a tour, check there kennels, isolation, surgery, all the rooms make sure that all their rooms are clean.
3. Are there staffs friendly, if you don't like their staffs, there is no point taking your pets there.
4. Are Dogs and Cats cages in seperate areas.
5. Are there working hours convenient for you.
6. Are appointments required.
7. What are their rates?
8. You should be honest with your vet and the staffs.
After selecting your vet, be sure you take every important steps recommended by your veterinarian, this will make a positive impact of your care on your dog through out his life span.

  1. most dog owners are not honest with their vet and the staffs causing difficult for the vets to really diagnose the problem of their pets... i think dog owners should learn from this article
